Our forests caught fire this year earlier than ever before, and the flames continue to spread through our drought-stricken state. Damages can be calculated in lost property: costs are running higher and higher as the blazes consume our neighborhoods, businesses, and infrastructure. But the true cost may be impossible to measure. We’re losing our homes, our wildlife habitats, our livelihoods…and too many lives.
