Position Location: Los Angeles
Reports to: Assistant Executive Director
California League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (CLCV Ed Fund) is a nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of the environment for all Californians. Our programs elevate the importance of environmental issues by educating Californians and involving them in the democratic process. In addition, we build the capacity of environmental organizations by developing and providing tools and resources to help them more effectively protect the environment. The CLCV Ed Fund works in close concert with its sister organization, the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV).
JOB DESCRIPTION:

The California League of Conservation Voters Education Fund seeks an Administrative Associate who will play an integral role in the organization, providing the necessary support to advance the organization’s goals. The Administrative Associate will take charge of the day-to-day administrative activities of the organization. The Administrative Associate will work closely with the Assistant Excutive Director, providing support in cultivating donors, manage a full grant portfolio and assisting with grant and donor research, tracking, and reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide general administrative support.
- Create, maintain and update filing systems.
- Schedule appointments.
- Provide logistical coordination.
- Support development efforts for both the CLCV Education Fund and CLCV.
- Provide research assistance on funding sources, including corporate and foundation grants.
- Develop and compile background materials on potential private foundation, corporate funders and donors.
- Prepare and edit communications materials, including acknowledgement letters, funding proposals and report packages.
- Maintain a tracking system to monitor grant proposals and report status including submissions, responses, renewals and reporting requirements.
- Support donor cultivation, including Raiser’s Edge entry.
- Prepare board materials and packets.
- Assist in planning and staffing events.
- Update Web site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of four years of administrative experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Computer savvy, with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email, and the Internet as well as the ability to quickly learn Outlook and Raiser’s Edge.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized.
- Interest in the environment.
- Self-starter, proactive, flexible, and independent.
