The heat is on the media

What are they waiting for?

Put the heat on the media!

The climate crisis will be the biggest challenge facing the next president. But the most-watched reporters don't seem to think so.

Since January 2007, they have asked presidential candidates a total of 2,938 questions. Just 6 of those questions mentioned global warming.

Tomorrow at 2:30 pm PST, you'll have a chance to let mainstream reporters know that global warming is a top voter concern. Join us outside Thursday's presidential debate at the Kodak Theatre to tell political reporters to ask presidential candidates about the climate crisis.

Take action:
  1. Show up on Thursday at 2:30 pm. We'll have signs and t-shirts, and will present petition signatures to reporters covering the debate. Find out more and RSVP here.

  2. Sign the petition. Add your voice to the call to members of the media to cover climate change in the presidential race. Sign the petition here.

Why attend the rally?

We'll deliver the banner we’ve created to the reporters who will be at the debate. We’ll also have t-shirts and rally signs so that we are visible to the cameras. The more people who show up, the more likely we’ll get media coverage.

Because you live near Los Angeles, you have a special opportunity to get climate change on the debate's agenda—and on the next president's agenda.

Let's show CNN we want to hear from the presidential candidates about climate change. RSVP here.

We are sending you this message (at sample@sample.net) because you requested occasional e-mail contact from CLCV, either on the phone, in person, in response to a mailing, or via our web site.
