CLCV to Host Democratic Primary Gubernatorial Debate on the Environment
CLCV Democratic Primary Gubernatorial Debate on the Environment, broadcast and webcast live Wednesday, May 3rd at 7:00 pm
The environment is woven into the fabric of every issue facing California and the nation. Whether making decisions regarding the economy, energy resources, jobs, our health, congested highways, or our coastlines and parklands, the environment is the tipping point towards a more healthy and vibrant California.
No other individual in the State of California influences environmental protection more than our Governor; for that reason, CLCV's endorsement in the Governor's race is the most important endorsement we will make all year. In order to provide a public forum to highlight the importance of the environment in the gubernatorial race, CLCV will hold a debate between the Democratic candidates for Governor, State Treasurer Phil Angelides and State Controller Steve Westly.
The CLCV Democratic Primary Gubernatorial Debate on the Environment, the only debate that will be televised statewide, will be held at 7 pm Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006 in Los Angeles.
The debate will also be webcast live on the KABC website. See our debate page for more details.
