Pombo's Network: Are you in?

CLCV and the League of Conservation Voters ask you to take action: Ask Representative Richard Pombo why you're not benefiting from his personal network.

As the Chairman of the House Resources Committee, U.S. Representative Richard Pombo is in a position to serve his district and the nation. But instead, it seems that he's serving the interests of wealthy special interests. In fact, Rep. Pombo has been abusing his position of power for the exclusive benefit of his corporate cronies and his own financial gain.

Report cover

As the political voice of the California and national environmental communities, we know it is important to put a spotlight on Rep. Pombo's stunning actions in our new report, "Rep. Richard Pombo's Family & Friends Network." The report outlines how Rep. Pombo's radically anti-environment and ethically questionable agenda benefits his own family, his special interest friends in the energy and development industries, and the indicted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay—all at the expense of his constituents and the environment.

The report points out how he is ignoring the growing problems of his district, including rising utility and gas prices, MTBE contamination in drinking water, increased traffic congestion, and endangered wildlife—while his family and friends are showered with legislative goodies. Read it today.

Take action today: Write to Representative Richard Pombo, let him know you're unhappy with his radically anti-environment and ethically questionable agenda, and ask him why you are left out of his "Family and Friends Network."

Thank you for all your support.

Sincerely,

Susan Smartt, Executive Director
