LOCAL FUNDING FOR TRANSPORATION PLANNING

Local governments are increasingly responsible for transporation funding and AB 595 (Brown) sets an important precedent by opening up the potential to fund important Bay Area regional transportation projects -- especially alternatives to single-driver vehicles -- through voter-approved revenues from gasoline taxes.
